Design Brief

experimental rig was required so that it was possible to ascertain the changes in energy levels with a light cure unit over time in any one of its three modes (continuous, step up and intermittent).

Multi Part Design

Due to the complexity of the design and the constraints of 3D printing, the mounting had to be designed and manufactured in a multi component form.

Initial Concept

A mounting was devised that would support a BA Optima Light Meter with a coaxial positioned lightcure unit. Data aquisition was via a tripod mounted video camera.

Light Shroud

To protect the imaging chip of the recording device, a shroud (red) was integrated into the design to prevent direct light entering the lens.
